Temazcal is a traditional Mayan ceremony that is a guided meditation in a stone structure heated with volcanic rock. The doors are sealed shut and are only opened briefly three times throughout a ninety minute period. The ceremony is done in with the absence of light so that the mind may sort through intense mental imagery. The desired end result is to release the physical, emotional, and spiritual toxins as you reconnect to your core base.
